After the controversial selection of Dehradun as the State Capital, Dehradun has also emerged as one the major business centre. Uttarakhand Govt has provided special incentives to lure the industries and corporate to set up their units in and around Dehradun. To nurture the growth of IT in Dehradun, a Dehradun IT Park and Cyber Tower have been proposed to set up which are on way to completion.Dehradun is also known as the тЂњRetirement DestinationтЂќ as quite a lot of people from Uttarakhand settle in Dehradun after their retirement. Dehradun is only 35 kms from the Queen of Hills тЂ“ Mussoorie and 50 kms from Haridwar. It is well connected with Delhi using Air, Rail and Road Network. Daily flights ply from Delhi to Dehradun. Dehradun is linked with major cities of India through Rail Network. Superfast trains like New Delhi тЂ“ Dehradun Shatabdi Express and Nizamuddin - Dehradun AC Special trains make it a 5-6 hrs journey from Delhi to Dehradun. Regular bus services are available to and from Dehradun to Delhi.
