Mr. President, Stop Plans for The Proposed Serengeti - Loliondo Districts Link Road
This is my appeal to the current President of Tanzania, I speak on behalf of the voiceless vulnerable Flora and Sauna in the Serengeti National Park. Just imagine a world without wildlife, a world without birds to wake us up every morning and nice fresh oxygen to breath, all as a result of our destruction of what we inherited from our ancestors and lastly, the destruction of a lifetime annual event, now dubbed; The 7th New Wonder of the World by ABC тЂ“ Maasai Mara & Serengeti Wildebeests Annual Migration.Wildlife, Human Conflict
How long will it take us to realize that God created everything for a purpose? It is unbelievable how mankind is unkind to the animal community which cannot speak to the mankind on a one on one basis as their privacy and livelihood is being destroyed on a daily basis.
Mankind cause more harm to natural resources and animals with impunity. Today, we have the oil leak at the Gulf of Mexico caused by mankind causing a lot of harm to the marine life, birds and to the mankind. Yesterday, it was the Global warming, caused by mankind due to industrialization.
Just four months ago, it was the destruction of the forests leading to lack of water resources for both wildlife and mankind. Many animals and people died as a result of our own destruction of forests around water catchment areas due to greed of mankind to make money. We do harm to our children in the future while chasing riches which we will all die and leave behind on earth.
Imagine East Africa without any animal in the wilderness, imagine that you wake up in the morning and hear not a sound of a bird singing on the trees. We take all which we have been given by lord the almighty for granted. Why can"t we conserve what we have than destroy the same for greed of money in the name of development.
Tomorrow, 2010, The Government of Tanzania plans to build a road to cut across the Serengeti in an effort to connect the northern part of Tanzania to the rest of the national grid in order to fulfill a campaign promise made by the current President, President Jakaya Kikwete in 2005 while campaigning for votes. Assume that you are an animal living in the Serengeti National park, despite being viewed and photographed on a daily basis by mankind since your birth till death, now, the same mankind intends to build a road through your habitat to be used 24/7 without your permission, what would you do if you had the powers to fight back?

Mr. President of the Republic of Tanzania, President Jakaya Kikwete, on behalf of the animals and Wildlife in Serengeti National park, I beg you 1000 times to rethink about your promise to the people who voted you into Parliament and stop the building of the proposed Serengeti - Loliondo Districts link road. Imagine the destruction this road will do to the ecosystem of the Serengeti National Park, to the Ants and the Insects, Butterflies and the Lizards, Birds and Animals which bring revenue into your country inform of Park fees, Camping and lodge fees, salaries and wages for the wildlife conservation employees and lastly, the foreign currency which your beloved country needs for imports and its budget deficiency.
Your own; Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania (WCST) has pointed out that there were many alternative areas for building an effective road system and an alternative route to the southern part of the Serengeti National park has been identified as an alternative route. How long does it take to realize that there will be more damage to the Ecosystem than benefit to both Flora and Sauna by allowing this road to be built through the Serengeti National park to please your voters as per the promise you made to them in 2005. In this case scenario, I represent the voiceless Animals, Plants and Insects in the Serengeti National Park.
On behalf of the Flora and Sauna within the Serengeti National Park, I beg you to rescind the Construction road Plan through the Serengeti National Park. It is only you who can stop this menace and it is only you,to be blamed in the future if this project takes off in 2010. http://www.victoriasafaris.com
